We've known Takka Takka's drummer Conrad Doucette for quite some time. He's a longtime listener of the station and from the Cincinnati area. In fact, he was in the area and dropped off copies of the band's debut album "We Feel Safer At Night" shortly before we signed off the air in September. It was really exciting to now be able to have the band into the Lounge as it is a session that we never thought we'd have the opportunity to host!

Fresh off a tour with friends Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Architecture In Helsinki, this New York 4-piece have been earning raves for their self-released debut disc. It's easy to hear why the blogosphere has already been won over by these guys. Perhaps inspired a bit by the fact that Conrad's parents came in to watch them play, the band sounds incredibly seasoned during this session (even with a brand new bass player in the lineup)!
