Trucker Caps

What the hell did I miss.

This time last year you couldn't give these things away. Unless of course you were an old school trucker. Now they're selling like crazy on E-bay. I know I've got a Teamster mesh hat at mom's house. I'll have to find that bastard. Some of these things are going for 30 - 40 dollars!!! INSANE (Spoken Like Buddy)

What happened?

Once Justin Timberlake started wearing one, they become all chic and shit...my fiance's got a couple, maybe we should put them up on e-bay (the frieghtliner and caterpillar hats stay though)

I have three of those old Pittsburgh Pirates caps.

You'd think with all the retro-sports and retro-cap nostalgio they'd make a comeback, but noooOOOoo! Even the ugly 80's Astros uniforms are hot but no Pirates caps.

One of these Halloweens I'm going dress as Kent Tekulve. I've already got the uni, goofy glasses and cap.

When a friend went out to L.A. LAST SUMMER, he came back telling us that they were all the rage then. He also mentioned that they were going for $40 a hat. No one wanted to believe him...until it finally filtered to the ATL.

I blame Pharrell as well as Justin. Oh, and Ashton Kutcher.

Murphy, I think you're talking about the 'Painter Caps!' I thought these were stupid in the 80's. I STILL see people wearing them from time to time. Jeesh.

I have a PBR Trucker hat, but I'm still kicking myself for not buying the "I <3 hard nipples" trucker cap that I saw in Chicago. It was just so...classy.

So... now that trucker hats have reached mainstream, that means they will die a slow but sure death. Flip-flops are beginning to peak, too, methinks.

So, what's the next hipster trend? Seems like we've hipped-up and/or gourmet'ed up pretty much everything, dunnit?

Predictions?

i feel your pain. while out of town last month, i made the mistake of passing up on an "Official U.S. Beaver Inspector" cap. what a wasted opportunity.

When it comes to fashion, I am the most uncoolest person in the universe.

Hated Jordache.
I've never worn flippy flops either...not even to the pool. I saw a pair of these damned things once for $25!!!!!
I believe I can find other things to spend $25 on than a pair of plastic shoes...

I just dont get green eggs and ham
I just get them sam I am....

*must say I did harken to the shoulder pads; they made one's waist look smaller and gave one an aura of authority...however they were too big*

that being said, I think you will start to see trends from the 50's........for various ugly reasons.
