I hope you like it! I mean, I REALLY hope you like it. I get all nervous when people pursue music based on my recommendations. I worry, I fear "what if they don't like it?" and won't listen to me anymore, and my credibility is on the line, and oh! the agony!!

Seriously, though, enjoy!

I love it. The new songs are good, and the re-recorded songs aren't an embarrassing re-tread or anything (well, some of them are a re-tread, but aren't embarrassing). Others - like Funky Sex Farm and Listen To What The Flower People Say (Reggae Stylee), as their names suggest - have been changed stylistically. It's all good fun, and the accompanying hour long interview dvd is pretty funny as well.

A visit to Shake It this afternoon resulted in the following:

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug

Fruit Bats - The Ruminant Band

from the used bin (and v.cheap):

Also picked up from the Over the Rhine website the latest in the "Live from Nowhere" series (this is Vol. 4), which is a 2 CD collection, bringing the entire set of the original line-up's one-off reunion last December incelebration of the band's 20th anniversary. Just superb.

I'm a pretty big 311 fan, and got this from the library just to check it out. Liked it, but not enough to actually buy it.... (Hope you got it cheap!)

I just pre-ordered the new Hope Sandoval and Ravonettes, I'm hoping I can travel to see Hope this fall, Chicago, Milwaukee or Atlanta, not too many chances to see her.
