Will be interested to hear from you how that holds up... I was quite sceptical when I read about this release

I love it. The new songs are good, and the re-recorded songs aren't an embarrassing re-tread or anything (well, some of them are a re-tread, but aren't embarrassing). Others - like Funky Sex Farm and Listen To What The Flower People Say (Reggae Stylee), as their names suggest - have been changed stylistically. It's all good fun, and the accompanying hour long interview dvd is pretty funny as well.

I'm a pretty big 311 fan, and got this from the library just to check it out. Liked it, but not enough to actually buy it.... (Hope you got it cheap!)

I just pre-ordered the new Hope Sandoval and Ravonettes, I'm hoping I can travel to see Hope this fall, Chicago, Milwaukee or Atlanta, not too many chances to see her.

Pony Up - Stay Gold
Ordered directly from the band. The hand made (and autographed) case is very sly. And DIY. Oh my. I appear to have gotten #125.

A couple for my "always exciting" saga of replacing CDs I lost in moving several times or college:
The National - Alligator Calexico - Feast of Wire I also found this for 19 cents at a bookstore: Jale - Dreamcake It's pretty cool. Sort of Breeders fronted by Juliana Hatfield. |
