Joan Of Arc

I had never heard of the band Joan Of Arc but some guy from one of my classes who seems to like quite a few of the same musicians as me loves them. Anyone out there have any opinions on Joan Of Arc?

i love Joan Of Arc. amazing musicians, amazing recordings.
i like their last couple of albums more than their early stuff.
i recommend the album "The Gap".
the singer (Tim Kinsella, whose voice is rarely in key) also has another band called The Owls which is really good too.
if you're into "concept albums" with loads of off-kilter vocals, you will love them.

i thought i liked them at first but then i saw them perform.
just don't go see them in concert. it's god damn boring.

i liked them quite a lot in concert, earlier this year at the mercury lounge. but then, i've been a superfan for several years. or maybe they were in a good mood. i've heard they're sometimes cranky. but tim kinsella was very happy and kept telling these girls to stop hitting on his brother. i'd concur with joe t and start with 'the gap' or maybe 'live in chicago, 1999'
