1. Shave - Love this song!!! "Save up your story in your mind container." Haunting echo vocal by the girl singer in the band.

2. Power of Yawning - "You really get off on all man kind". A mid tempo rocker featuring the guy's quick rap-like loud-quiet vocals. I like the music, but will have to read the whole lyrics as I'm not getting the msg of the song. Maybe that's the point.

3. Murder Sounds - A cool bass-line, song featuring the girl again. The only thing I don't like is the guy's vocals "We'll be RIGHT back" gets annoying

4. Star in the Gates - Another big misdirection. More traditional rock song, almost balladish

5. Daughter in the house of fools - My favorite song so far. The music almost sounds like Nine inch nails + beck marriage.

6. Mikazuki - Very strange song!! Kraftwerk sounding music + soft vocals by the girl.

7. Candy - Good possibility for a single. Chorus sticks with you like glue.

8. Monsoon - Sounds a lot like "Shave" to me.. More drums and ambient stuff going on though to keep it interesting.

9. Utz - screechy guitars, and one of the few songs that sounds like the previous album. Songs like this make me wish I could see the band live!!

10. Spanish Boots - Another radio-friendly track. Nice guitar work and maybe a little too straight-forward. Was expecting a techno interlude

11. Startastic - Another duet. They should do more! Probably my 2nd favorite song on the cd. "Captions of wit, sinking ships.. Passionately thinking about the bonus and tips"

12. Litter in the Gutter - Very short ditty that is mainly just a guitar jam. Not bad although a little too clangy.

13. Hocus Pocus - Very slow, almost whispered song. Dips into a Doors'-like psychedelica for a bit which throws you for a loop. Nice way to end the cd.

Overall the cd makes you feel very strange. It's very interesting though, and grows after several listens. I'd recommend it if you want to feel strange :)

Mowie,

I have been waiting for this CD. I have their two previous which are very good. Have you listened to their first two? Have you checked Brainiac out?

Just out of curiousity how do you have it? It doesnt come out for a few days. Download? Advance Copy?

This album has about two good songs on it. I would never tell anyone to buy it.

What a let down after High Society, one of the best albums of the year...

I like it. My only complaint is that it sounds unfinished. Most if not all of it sound like demo's, compared to the excellent production of 'High Society.'
