Did your friend get it sold? Nice price- Nice sound! Makes me a little homesick to look at that pick--I miss mine. But I hope this one will get a good home like mine did!
......going to hunt up some FR music this weekend.....you made my day :)

nope, nary a peep from anyone. he's not desparate or anything, though, so it's not a huge deal. he was just trying to clear out some closets before he moves.
I was actually trying to look for some FR songs when I was explaining to someone at work what it was. I wasn't successful so if you know of any let me know.
why did you sell yours?

Stevie Wonder used the sound a lot in the 70's, Patrice Rushen and some other soul and jazz artists. The Doobies circa 1978-80 (when Michael McDonald went 'pop'). Oh and Steely Dan and Jamiroquai, too.
But here are the ones that are probably best recognized:
"Get Back" by the Beatles.....you know that funky ending as he say's "Get back home, Loretta....". And the theme from Taxi.
why did you sell yours?Well, I drug it all thru college with me, but got tired of lugging it around. When I bought a house Mom gave me her first piano and I don't have room for 2 large setups. She knew of a little boy who really wanted to learn to play the piano and I knew that was who should have it!

*slaps head* of course, thanks for all the great examples. I'm up on all the great glockenspiel songs, but I was just drawing a blank when it came to the rhodes.

yea, I'm all to familiar with lugging gear. I have a fender bassman which is like carrying around a mini cooper. I need to get it fitted with some of those segway wheels so it can take itself up the stairs.
that would be cool to learn the piano on. I bet "camptown races" never sounded so good.
