Since it comes on so late and when people are usually out, it would be cool if y'all could archive the dance music show in mp3 or realaudio...
Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestion!
We really can't archive our shows due to copyright issues & from a technical standpoint, we really don't have the server space to be able to do it.
This answer can be attributed to one Digital Savant.
Thanks for asking though. In a perfect world, we'd love to.

Hrm... I think if you only had the latest week's show posted, then it would be ok. I dunno about how much space it would take, but I think as long as you deleted it each week (or something), it could be considered timeshifting, which is legal... no?
IANAL,

What mike means is that we would have to get permission from the record labels and artists to archive our shows, even for one week. not including licensing costs and all the paperword involved, it is one insanely huge hassle.
...and i mean "hassle" lightly. But thanks for asking!

I managed to set up my own personal archiving for timeshifting purposes (sorta like Tivo, but with Linux).
If anyone's interested, here's my crontab (bear in mind, I'm in Central timezone):
----
# at 22:45 on Saturday, record WOXY club show
# at 01:15 on Sunday, kill recording
# at 01:17 on Sunday, archive show
45 22 * * 6 cd ~/audio; mplayer -cache 8192 -dumpaudio http://sc1.liquidviewer.com:9010
15 01 * * 7 killall mplayer
17 01 * * 7 rm /home/mp3/woxy.mp3; mv ~/audio/stream.dump /home/mp3/woxy.mp3
----
Cheers,
