poor monkey (http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/919_345970,001800010001.htm).

it's a cute story at first and then things get spooky with:

Earlier this year, residents of about 20 villages in the coastal district of Jagatsinghpur, some 70 km from Bhubaneswar, were terrorised when thousands of monkeys came out of their forest habitat and went on the rampage.

that's a lot of freakin' monkeys! however, i'd rather see a thousand rushing monkeys than what this farmer (http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article.jhtml?articleID=608096) saw. nasty. good thing dude took nine pictures, though. nine. not just two or three quick ones, but nine. hmmm....

squeal like a pi... oh wait, you are a pig!

Anyone know if where the monkey thing happened at whether or not that's where the feed all the monkeys as a tourist attraction and now it's an anthropological study site?

My apologies, anthropology class flash backs...

But there's this village or something in China I believe where they have thousands and thousands of monkeys. The locals feed them to keep them all there and it then causes the monkeys to have population explosions because foods readily available without having to put the direct effort of being in the wild and having to go out and find it. But it's also used as a anthropological site to not only study monkeys but as a study of how similar humans actually are to monkeys. Something like that. You'd think I could remember more from just a year ago... Oh well. :)
