Hey 97x, you should put the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Cleveland on Sep 21st on your Concert page.

Also, how about this idea: Doing a contest and one winner gets to be a 97X DJ for a few hours or so. This may have been done in the past, I don't know. Just a thought.

Maybe you could have the top points winner of Alternatrivia have a chance to have an hour of programming. Or possibly include it in the 97X Prize Closet section.

I would really dig a show like that. Of course we have Request the X, which showcases all the listeners' picks. This would give individual listeners the chance to show off their favourite tunes.

Not sure how it works on CD101 because I've never actually listened to the station but maybe for a few hours. For their DJ for a Day thing, does the individual actually come in and do talk breaks as well?

I would love to give a list of songs to play but I am not one to jump on the radio..alone....unmanned. I'd lose it.

but its a good idea.

I just want to give a push for a thing I miss....themed weekends in the summer (my favorite of course was women in modern rock)....*sigh*

Supra Genius did the guest DJ thing for CD 101, he'd be able to tell you...I missed being able to listen to him :( I think he did the mic breaks too though.

oh I am gonna don't you worry. I do have a question about that though. lets say on a normal day a particular song isn't played because its not marked for play....will some songs sneak past that rule for labor day weekend...or will it just be the 3 or 4 songs on the disk already being played on the air?

I figured that would be the case. I just tried to pick out songs that have no wordy dirds in there.

Not me, I used to do this at Scarlet on 88.3 in high school. Not the big time, for sure, but I was definaltely comfortable.
