View Full Version : Dream Team

This is my latest TV addiction. It's a British soap opera centered around a fictional Premiership soccer team. Total cheese, but addictive.

Fox Sports World shows four back-to-back episodes Tuesday and Wednesday nights...they're showing ones from 1999 now, so they have a long time to go before they catch up to the UK. Of course, I keep looking at websites and finding out all the stuff that's still going to happen on the shows here.

:p

My boyfriend is ADDICTED to DREAM TEAM. He keeps trying to tell me that it's not a soap opera...but, I tell him that he's mad. It's the soapiest of soaps...and it is pretty addictive.

Oh...but he says that Harchester United is a real team.

Will I have to burst his bubble?

Okay, thinking Harchester is a real team I can understand...but thinking the show isn't a soap opera??!!

Oh well, once he sees the stuff that's coming up soon, he'll see just how 'soapy' this is! :p

Consider my day made. Let me explain...he doesn't think that the team on TV is the real Harchester United. But, he says that there is a real team with the same name.

Anyone else care to ring in? RichmondVA? cockneyrebel?

Well, it does sound a little like Manchester United I suppose...

Or he could be thinking of Leicester? Or Hartlepool?

Or he could be thinking of Leicester? Or Hartlepool? He says they are not a Premier League team...(thank God). I've tried to find something on-line, but only find fake stats for the fake team.

I guess I'll have to let him down gently...

Oh...and last night's episode was crazy. Well, the 5 minutes I saw of it. But, from the Greg's re-cap, I can say that Sean's wife is definitely the worst of the worst.

Sean's wife was bad, although she was drunk and upset so perhaps that explains some of her behavior. Ian, on the other hand, was a cold-hearted, scheming snake!

But anyway, here is a list of all the soccer teams in England who played last season somewhere within top eight levels of the 'pyramid' system (from http://www.e-soccer.com/default.asp). No Harchester, but some cool names anyway! I think I want to become a Leek Town fan :

Tottenham Hotspur will always be my favorite name. It's just so fun to say...especially while faking a British accent. However, this one may be a close second: Tooting and Mitcham

Oooooooooo............Mr. Block finally knows. All hell is about to break loose. I wonder if Sean's wife will step up and tell the truth....

She seems like she's about to break down...I think when she hears Luis was arrested she will break down and admit what really happened.

Ian just gets more evil every week! And Alex was quite the little scum-bag last night too, hitting on Leon's ex to try to get under his skin.

And we're definitely seeing Jerry Block's fangs coming out now that he knows about Luis and Lynda...they're in for it!
