This has probably already been done, but I've been wondering for along time what others think....

I'm going with Conan, he's just all around the best host: great skits, monologue, interviewing, and musical guests (most of the time).

I dig conan the most. Jimmy next!

kilborn is hilarious, or at least his writers are. i always end up watching conan and enjoying it, but in the back of my mind i keep thinkin " he had to go to harvard to be that funny?"

I've been a religious viewer of Conan since it came on the air... and I'll probably be watching it until its final show.

I do, however, always miss the news because I'm busy watching Futurama and Family Guy on Adult Swim. I am looking forward to the Animation Block on Spike TV (TNN) startin' June 26th (NEW REN & STIMPY!!!) and also the new Tom Green show on MTV, whenever that's comin' around.

Daily Show, Letterman, Conan.

Later, rinse, repeat. You can thank me later.

Leno bugs the living snot out of me.

In theory I like Conan the best but I have to get up too damn early to watch him anymore. I find myself flipping between Futurama and the Daily Show and the Family Guy if I make it. I used to be the biggest Letterman fan during his NBC days, but I am not a fan of the kinder gentler Dave. Leno is a repeat every night right ;), same thing every night ? News? Who needs to watch the news anymore at a regular time? Channel 9 local news plays on Headline News all day.

Since I get up for work at 5:00, I'm usually not up that late and if I am, I'm not watching T.V.

I do watch Conan from time to time and I must say that he is the closest a human will ever be to a cartoon character....I respect that.

I love me some conan O' Brien, I just wish I coould stay up to see his guests, I usually end up passing out. I think he's the best because he does the best with his guests (when he's interviewing them). All monologues SUCK BALLS. That's a little known fact because there's crappy corporate writers that do a horrible job. That's where Conan's brilliance comes in. When he can sit down with any guest and make it the funniest bit on TV.

I heard they were coming out with an Adult Swim DVD with Harvey: Birdman Lawyer, SpaceGhost, Sealab 2021, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force!! Rock on!!

Am all about craiggers, if I'm up late enough (the wee hours of the night have become my good friends lately). Don't enjoy Letterman or Leno as much as I used to...and Conan just isn't the same without Andy.

I think the server must have posted your poll wrong. Why is there no choice for "They're all funny except for Leno"?

Amen!! He sux! His interviewing is horrible, only that bald guitar player thinks his jokes are funny, and, oh my god, that chin!

In other words, I really don't like him...

Craig was funny on ESPN. Craig was funny on The Daily Show. However, his brand of funny (oooh, look at me! I'm CRAIG!) got real old real fast with me.

I don't know, he's just oozing "smarmy" and it doesn't come off right to me.

and that's just my opinion.

Letterman and Leno both suck anymore.
Craig and Conan are funny and their interviews are almost always entertaining and their guests seem to feel really comfortable.

Tight race between Conan and Jon Stewart. Jon almost got it, due to Lewis Black, but Conan wins because of the (usually) excellent musical guests...

i will say, without shame, that i watch last call. carson's interviews, while probably aslo choreographed, come of less choreographed, and more relaxed. he also has decent music from time to time. i first saw vendetta red on his show. saw the streets there as well. but i will never forget when dave grohl and taylor hawkins covered stairway to heaven on kilborn and had to have the audience yell the lyrics at them. killer.

We no longer watch the tube. But when we did it was The Daily Show for us. I'll always have a softspot for Jay since we both grew up in Andover, MA (yes I met him at a CVS!) and Jay is not a angry old shit like Dave.

Dave really does seem like an angry old shit...but have you seen The Late Shift? That was the HBO movie about Jay getting the Tonight Show after Johnny instead of Dave.

That's probably why Dave seems to hate his life. That, and I bet Paul Shaffer gets really annoying to work with.

jon stewart all the way. i'm in love w/ mo rocca, who has never gotten enough airtime. i met him in washington d.c. i kindly told him to fuck off before i realized who he was (i was protesting Dubya's inauguration and he stopped me & my friends and asked us to do our "sexist racist anti-gay, george bush must go today" cheer on film for him-- we said "fuck the media!" and then realized who he was, went back, did the cheer, and ended up actually getting on the show!) i also love lewis black.

and i concur: kilby was @ his best on sportscenter & the daily show. and leno f&cking sucks.

don't forget charlie rose AND the new tom green show.
i ususally watch whatever talk show has the best guests, but how the hell do ya manage when there's good guests all the way around? last night we had liz phair on leno, drew barrymoore on letterman, david cross and bob odenkirk on kimmel, dita von teese, marilyn manson, and andy dick on tom green. my head was reeling.

based on comedy bits alone though, conan is king.

Hey! I wanna change my vote after seeing Jimmy Fallon take over for Letterman Friday night. How can someone be so cute and so funny at the same time? Well, consider this a write in. Jimmy proved he needs his own show.

I dunno, I found myself missing Dave. Fallon just didn't seem to have any rapport at all with Paul or the guests, was disappointed.

really? Yeah, there wasn't as much connection with the audience, but he was so adorable..... I guess that really isn't a talk show host requirement, tho, eh? ;)

no, just look at Conan (huge head), Leno(huge chin), and Letterman(huge gap).:)

I definitely agree w/ the consensus--the Late Late shows w/ Conan and Kilborn are easily the top draws. Letterman still has moments and still makes me laugh, but Leno just plain sucks. His audience is not us, to put it fairly, so I can see why many of us don't find it humorous. He pretty much caters to those who are sticking around because of The Tonight Show moniker--but I'd easily say that sooner than later, we'll be seeing Conan in that slot. He is easily the next thing in late nite TV, and I, for one, am glad.

I hope Conan NEVER gets bumped up an hour....then he won't be funny anymore. Like what happened with Letterman.

The audience who watches Leno and Letterman differs GREATLY from that of the Conan/Kilborn slot crowd.

i echoe drworms sentiments. conan & kilborn would be rendered funniledd if moved up an hour.

I love Conan. Not only is he funny, I, uh well....Okay I've had a HUGE crush on him for years!!! I know he ain't pretty, but damn, he's just so self depricatingly funny he knows how to make a gal swoon. I'll take my big, dorky redheaded Irishman over Brad Pitt any day!
