posting images, pics

i keep trying to post a pics in different discussions and it never seems to work for me. What am i doing wrong? I usually copy the shortcut then paste it in the image box, but i get the lil box with the x in it when i do.

The image needs to be hosted on a server, not your computer.

the code should look like:

<img>URL of the image</img>, with [ and ] being the opening and closing brackets instead of < and >

what about items ive scanned?

same thing. you need a host. like a virus does, but this host will store your images on their server so you can post them wherever online. i think Photo Island is one and Ink Frog is another. i was thinking about starting a thread about this topic to see where other people have gone for image hosting, but i'm lazy like that. maybe someone will actually see this and chime in. maybe the prize patrol will be waiting for me when i get home from work. those big fake checks are neat-o!

And Yahoo has a photo sharing thing that give you 30 MB worth of pics for free, which is plenty if you only need web-viewing quality.
