The MidPoint Music Festival is holding a press conference this Thursday, May 29 at RBC (1142 Main Street) at 6:30pm, and we're inviting all of you to attend. Mayor Charlie Luken and Councilman John Cranley, two early supporters of the Festival, will be on hand as well as a number of this year's sponsors.

A couple of weeks ago, a motion was introduced to provide some funding for four events in Downtown Cincinnati. One of the events was the MidPoint Music Festival. Last week, the motion passed!

So now it's your turn. We need all musicians and music fans to show up in full force on Thursday to show the local media what a strong and vibrant music scene exists. Please attend and get there early!

I would, but my kid's a little too young to be going to bars just yet. Maybe when she's three.

Thanks to RBCs for hosting the press conference. Thanks to Mayor Luken, Councilman Cranely and Lisa Haller (GCCVB) for speaking (and all their support). Thanks to Pike 27 for providing the entertainment. Thanks to 5, 9, 12 and 19 for covering the press conference. Thanks to all who attended. And thanks to Elliott Ruther for helping organize the whole thing. Let's keep the momentum going. September will be here before you know it.

Just barely caught some of the coverage on the news last night, complete with Pike 27 performance snippets. Kudos, Bill and crew!

It was a good time, but I had to cut out early. Either way, can't wait 'til September.
