Does anyone else love this show as much as I do?? Oh man, I get so excited at 11:30 every night cause it's time to flip on Cartoon Network and watch one of my favorite tv families.

I'm not going to go as far as saying that it's better than The Simpsons. The Simpsons is a different kind of cartoon....it works on sooo many different levels. The Simpsons is a show that can make a 10 year old kid laugh in the same room as his 40 year old dad. Family Guy isn't for neither. It's for the cynical teenager that sits at home and makes fun of the world.

Family Guy neither has the longevity that The Simpsons has. But I honestly believe that any given episode of Family Guy is just as funny, if not funnier, than The Simpsons.

Does anyone else have the DVD? I love it.

Here's a couple quotes from the show:

Peter: Well, we promised Lois we'd use our powers responsibly, but I suppose doing the exact opposite couldn't hurt.

Peter: Make like Siamese twins and split... and then one of you die.

Tom: Huh, get used to this sight, Diane: guys running away from you.
Diane: Tom, you're so deep in the closet you're finding Christmas presents

Peter Griffin: You know those Germans; if you don't join the party, they come get you.

Peter Griffin: Holy crip, he's a crapple! (ha ha ha)

Peter Griffin: Look Lois, the two symbols of the Republican Party: an elephant, and a fat white guy who is threatened by change.

Lois Griffin: You should spend some time with our kids, Peter. And with me.
Peter Griffin: Uh, what could me and you do together?
Lois giggles
Peter Griffin: Lois! You've got a sick mind!
Lois Griffin: Peter, I'm talking about making love.
Peter Griffin: Oh! I thought you wanted us to murder the children and harvest their organs for beer money.

Peter Griffin: Oh, you people can kiss the fattest part of my ass!

Brian Griffin: Ah, if my memory serves me, this is the physics department.
Chris Griffin: That would explain all the gravity.

Li: Stewie, come complete our rainbow.
Stewie Griffin: I've got a better idea. Let's go play "swallow the stuff under the sink."

Peter Griffin (to Lois): I know you're a feminist and I think that's adorable, but this is grown-up time and I'm the man!

Hell yeah I love Family Guy! :D

I don't have the DVD's (yet) but I have every episode in VCD format that works surprisingly well in my DVD player and the quality isn't half bad.

One of my favorite parts, and forgive me for not having the exact quotes, is when Peter is flashing back to the phase he went through where he was narrating his life out loud. After proceeding to rip Lois, she knocks him out with a frying pan and the kitchen goes dark as night falls at which point he pops up from the floor and resumes narrating, "When I awoke on the kitchen floor..." Ok, it's not very funny the way I described it, but trust me, it's freaking hilarious :)

I also like the one where Lois finds out Peter is a piano virtuoso when he's drunk. Stewie asks him to play the "sad music from the end of the Hulk, when he's walking away" :) I LOVE all the 80's references in the show :)

That one was on last night! I laughed sooo hard. Espcially at the part where Peter was going through his family album and saw the first Griffen to ever use the phone. They flashbacked to that guy on his old fashioned phone saying,

"What number are you trying to reach"
"7"
"Oh, sorry wrong number, this is 3"
"oops, sorry for bothering you"

And the pee-wee's playhouse part was hilarious too

Peter: Isn't that right Bing Crosby?
BC: That's right Peter, and if your kids don't obey you, you can always beat them with a sack of valencia oranges. they dont leave bruises and you kids will always know whose the boss.
Peter: I dont agree with that.
BC: Are you giving me lip? (takes off his belt and beats Peter with it

I love the bizarre cultural references. Bing Crosby used to hawk Valencia Oranges on TV and it was aledged that he beat his kids with a belt.

Sometimes it's just plain wrong (but funny!)

Brian: And remember the time you had an Irish coffee before we went to see "Philadelphia"?
[cuts to movie theater]
Peter: oh, oh I got it. That's Tom Hanks from "Big". Funny man. Anything that guy says is hilarious.
Tom Hanks: I have AIDS
Peter: hahahahahahahaha

I have the new DVD box set and we watch it nearly every night (after it airs at 11 of course).

Hands down, by far, the funniest show I have ever seen.

Without a doubt.

I watched Petoria last night, the one where The Griffin's house is not part of the US and Peter designates it Petoria. I about shat my pants when he invited all the world leaders over his house for a pool party.

Peter: Hey, we still get fan mail.
Brian: From What countries
Peter: Turkey, Syria, and Iraq

Later on Saddam Hussein and Milosovich are having a drink poolside.

Saddam: Oh I just love that show, It reminds me of me and my friends, just hanging out. That's why I like it. It's about nothing, but it's so real

Milosovich: Oh I just love that Kramer guy, he is so funny!

Family Guy is the all time funniest show in the History of television.
It's a very sad comment on the viewing population that it is cancelled.

I too picked up the DVDs and have been watching one or two a night. There's so much good stuff in there.

Peter: Lois, "Who's the Boss" isn't a food.
Brian: Swing and a miss.

I love the commentry for a couple of episodes on the first disk, to hear Seth MacFarlane and Alex Borstein slip into character and start to curse pretty much left me laughing the entire day.

My favorites: the one where Peter's strictly religious dad is staying with them. (Stewie: Oh, I just LOVE God. He's so deliciously evil!)

the one where Meg is working in that pancake house getting extra tips by telling everyone Stewie is her bastard son who's addicted to crack (while he gets addicted to pancakes.)

Meg: Hey, Stewie, don't you love crack?
Stewie: (in a rehearsed-but-more-interested-in-the-pancakes tone) Oh, yes. I'm just CUKOO for crack!

And she even does Peter's laugh when she confesses to her parents.

But if I keep going, I'll have to start calling the keyboard a growth.

I loved the one where Peter had to get in touch with his feminine side so he went on this women's retreat, and he was totally freaked out when he got home...

(in the bathroom...)

Peter: Oh my God, I'm late.

Lois: And you're going to make me late if you don't hurry up in here.

Peter: No, I'm LATE late! Do we still have that pregnancy test in here?!? And I forgot to do my breast exam this month! (fells around inside shirt...) I think I feel a LUMP!!! Oh, it's just a cheeto...(pops it in his mouth)

I laughed about this all week...

Last night was the one where Stewie gets addicted to crack. It's so funny because The town had their parade and the winning theme was Peter's "The episode of Who's the Boss where Tony sees Angela naked".

When the floats come out, the first one is wrong cause it's Mona in the shower, not Angela....

Announcer: And let's see what we have for the second float. Oh it's Tony bathing Jonathan...oh that's not what we were looking for!!! ha ha ha

Brian: (paraphrase) "i've licked my share of peanutbutter.."

Yeah, that's in the article (in case you're too lazy to read!) Seth said that he's just going to start making new shows again, regardless of who picks it up. He said that they will be shown in some way, whether fox picks it up, Cartoon Network, or he'll just release them on DVD

It is better than the Simpson. I have them all on DVD, but am still excited to see it tonight.

Best quote

Porn Director to Lois: "Hey you got a nice wiggle. You want to make a movie. A little girl on girl action."

Lois: "Peter say something."

Peter: "Good luck. I've been barking up that tree for 17 years."

It's sick and disgusting, perhaps the sickest most disgusting show I've ever seen on television. And to have the word 'family' in the title... misleading, totally inappropriate for family viewing... put the children to bed, sneak to the telly, watch and laugh your mother#%@$ing ass off.

I love that show!

Who's voice does Seth Green do?

Seth Green is Chris Griffin.

The daughter Megan is Lacey Chabert (the little girl from Party of Five) in the first season only. Season 2 and 3, the voice is Mila Kunis (Jackie in That 70s Show)

Seth McFarlane's actual voice is that of Brian the Dog. That's what Seth sounds like when he talks normally.

I must say that I'm pretty darn excited about Seth McFarlane's new show. Maybe mostly because it seems so similar to Family Guy in the voices/animation style/humor style. I must say though that I would really like to see new Family Guy material. It is absolutely amazing. Despite the fact I never get tired of it, new stuff wouldn't hurt anyone. I guess we have to wait until May 1st though...I just hope this new show won't interfere with any efforts to advance Family Guy.

Seth= Peter Griffin/Brian Griffin/Stewie Griffin/Glen Quagmire/Tom Tucker

I had a chance to see him speak, so if you have any DEEP BURNING (that's what she said) questions, just ask.

Like.. there will be a movie about stewie trying to find his biological father
and
Bonnie is NOT having that baby
AND
