With all the good movies coming out, there's gonna' be alot of discussion. I know that some people will post spoilers and this might screw up the experience for those of us who haven't seen the movie yet. Most people here are good about labelling the spoilers, but if people are anything like me, I accidently read spoiler text out of the corner of my eye when I'm reading other posts.

I was thinking it would be cool if people who post spoiler would have the forethought to change the color of the spoiler text to something dark and hard to read (color=sienna works pretty well), so that the only way you could read it would be by highlighting the text...i.e.

SPOILER ALERT!!! Highlight the text below to read....if you dare!

If you are reading this then prepare to be spoiled!!

A very good suggestion indeed, DSM.

Especially since I will be seeing THE MATRIX RELOADED in 31 hours.

Just kidding. I don't know that.

If she does die, don't hunt me down and kill me.

Thanks. I won't get to see it for a couple of weeks. I had my night out last weekend, so it's back to the cage for me ;)

monkey neck, you are on your way to becoming the first board member I've ever had to use the ignore feature on since I've been posting here.

I just don't even open threads of movies I want to see, i.e. X-Men 2, Matrix 2. That's how I avoid spoilers. When I've seen it, I'll be back for comment. If it's a movie I'm on the fence about, a thread talking about the movie that doesn't spoil much might get me into the theatre or to the video store to see it. As was the case with The Ring. Spoiler warnings have helped me avoid, well, spoilers, so whatever can be done to keep that up, I'm all for. Using a darker color is a great idea, DSM.

Hey butter, how's that new van? It would be a shame if something bad were to happen to it.

It's fully insured.

As long as you don't try to hook any speakers into it from 3 miles away, I think it'll be fine.

NIIIIIIIICE use of invisotext.

I'll keep that in mind for my Matrix review.

Unfortunately, I won't see it until Friday afternoon (damn work  ), but I already know how it ends. Someone already spoiled it for me.

Here, let me spoil something for you: Butter wears women's clothes, not because they make him look sexy, but so he can save money by shopping at 'Deb'.

Ah hell DSM, silver just doesn't effectively hide things.....

This is the perfect solution for me to avoid spoilers as well.
But, for those folks who have to participate in a movie thread before they actually SEE the movie, I do agree that the use of a darker color is a great idea.

Dude, you know where I can get one of those bitchin' backwards "Game Cocks" hats?

All I can find are the ones where the bill goes on the front.

High 5.

No, all I've got is the kind where the bill goes off to the side.

Sorry.

You guys know that there are 2 "color schemes" or whatever to choose from, right?

The darker one, more like the old boards, that I think most people use, and the lighter, more better (more...better...) one that only the really really *really* cool people use. Guess which group I'm in (the light one of course).

The dark colored spoiler thing doesn't work for us. The light colored tags show up pretty well too actually, unless there's a LOT of it, then it starts to hurt your eyes a little, but...anyway.

That said, I'll have to go with Scott and say that you just shouldn't read threads for movies you haven't seen.
