I met Caroll Spinney when I was 7 years old. He's one of my heroes. If you enjoy the Muppets or Sesame Street you may enjoy this book. You KNOW that I do! :D

I heard that this morning on NPR -- pretty cool! That is amazing that he has to do all of that stuff with no eye-holes & only watching himself 3rd person through a little tv inside of his suit.

Diane Rehm is quite possibly the worst broadcast in all of radio. I just hope that she broadcast near the edge of her grave, cause I swear any minute now, she's just going to keel over dead.
Good on her for having these folks, but the old broad needs to get out of radio.
Edited to add: See above folks, this is a good example of just exactly how to make a complete ass of yourself. I'm leaving it so as to show that I can accept that I can be a total moron sometimes and that I can take my lumps.

Let me inform you that she has a voice disorder (spasmodic dysphonia). She is learning to adapt to her handicap, rather than give up. I salute her.
Do you make it a point to insult those of us with handicaps? While you are at it you should take a stab at deaf people, the blind, people born with deformities, etc.
Oh, let me add...I have severe hearing loss, and suffer from tinnitus in both ears I have to wear hearing aids in both ears.
Yeah, making fun of handicapped people is such fun.
The only handicap I can not tolerate is stupidity.

Um... hey dude, didn't know it was a handicap. I was always under the impression, not just by assumption mind you, that she was just old as dirt. You gotta admit, if you didn't know better she just sounds old.
That in mind, I applaud her for continuing her broadcasting. I have tremendous respect for those who fight to do what they love despite personal limitations that would generally block such a quest.
I apologize for my ignorance of her handicap and cradling my foot so snuggly in my mouth. It happens to everyone.

I don't really think he was picking on the handicapped. I've always thought she sounded like she had more than one foot in the grave as well and like Paul Harvey is just painful to listen to. I had no idea until now that she was handicapped. I admire her courage, but it still makes her no easier to listen to.
