Anyone going to the Idlewild concert this Wednesday in Columbus? I was curious if I was the only one from the Cincinnati area going to see them? I don't want to wait to see them until they open for Pearl Jam at Riverbend this summer.

A friend of mine wanted me to go to that show with him, but I'm going to see the Flaming Lips in Pittsburgh on Sunday, so it's monetarily out of the question. I'd love to see Idlewild without having to deal with Pearl Jam though.
Such is life.

Seen Idlewild a few times and they are pretty good. They seem to perform alot better to big crowds. Saw them with a crowd of around 100 people and boy were they terrible. Roddy even apologised after.

Thanks for the scoop. I'll let you know how it goes... large or small crowd.

The show was awesome. Roddy and the boys played their asses off, although Roddy was freaking drunk and could barely stand up straight.
There were probably about 100 people there. The place was empty. I was shocked at how few people showed up. 100 people could easily be on the high end...I am bad at estimating.

I was there, yeah, Roddy seemed drunk and pissed at the small turnout, i kinda liked The People, one of the opening acts. Idlewild was good but likely would have been better with a better crowd, like when he started to play you he said "COlumbus was over estimated".....and on the encore he said "i thought you all might go home, thanks"
I still enjoyed it
