I am fully pleased with this new installment to the Supergrass catalogue. Tracks like "Rush Hour Soul", "La Song", and "Evening Of The Day" make me want to get up and dance every time. Ugh, for that matter, all the tracks on the album are absolutely superb. After listening to it almost without interruption throughout last night--and during my breaks at work--I feel that it is one of the best addictions (typo...maybe: additions) to my collection, and even my favourite collection of Supergrass tunes they have ever released.

A five-star album. Classic.

I'm sorry to say it, but i disagree with you guys.

In It For The Money was one of the highlights of the 90's, and has never and will never come close to being beaten by Supergrass. There new album is scrappy. I put my hand up and say there are some great tunes there too, but theres also a couple of there worst.

'Za' is a good opener, and 'Rush Hour Soul' following seems to show a good start to the album.

Then comes 'Seen The Light'. It's cheesy, filled with elvis impressions and catchy lyrics, what you could call Supergrass at there best. Then half way through this little British treat, what do we get, fuckin Sheep noises. Why???

Then we have 3 quite weak tracks, followed by short, and out-of-character 'Never Done Nothing Like That Before', which is by far the highlight of the album.

And it all goes a little quite from there onwards, with exception (JUST) of 'Grace'.

I cant think of one track on 'In It For The Money' which could ever be labelled as weak. This album seems to be 50/50. Dont get me wrong, I listened and I enjoyed. There about the only trace of Britpop we have left, but I cant help but say they could have done better.

I have definitely heard both albums, and honestly I do not think In It For The Money is as tight as the new album. I totally agreed with a certain review that said Life On Other Planets combined the flawless pop sounds of their self-titled album with the masterful song structuring of In It For The Money. They were right-on with this one.

Yep, 'In It For The Money' is still their best for me too. Anyone figure out who that guy standing in the background is yet?? I remember long ago Supergrass were trying to solve that mystery.

'La Song' is my absolute fave track on the new album. It's got one of the most happy, refreshing, feel-good choruses I've heard in recent history. Makes me smile and sing along every time! Anyone who hasn't heard it, check it out!

I would heavily recommend it man. Start to finish classic. This album made Supergrass responsible for a huge pop-to-indie conversion in the mid 90's.

Buy and enjoy! (oh, and get the stone roses debut whilst your at the store!!!)
