I mean, c'mon....just because two of the most wanted terrorists ever were found in Iraq, with plenty of money, homes, belongings, etc.... doesn't really mean that Iraq supported terrorism, right?? i mean, sheesh....get real....it's not like Abu Abbas lived next door to Saddam for the last 15 years (it was about a mile away as the cruise missle flies)

just trying to debunk another one of those damn right wing conspiracies/lies! you're welcome....

Interesting article. The description of this "terrorist camp" sounds alot like what I would expect to see in a U.S. military camp.

Don't our guys learn these things too?

Of course since the camp is not located here, it must be a terrorist camp. sheesh!

Yep, our guys are trained every day to walk onto a civilian bus with a vest full of explosives.

Damnit BS, you're right, all this time when I was saying that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, I was wrong.

Oh, wait..

PLO is not AlQ? Damned media! You'd think they'd be able to make the distinction clear enough to you OF ALL PEOPLE, that the PLO and AlQ are different groups.

Maybe Ireland should be next, I hear the IRA and Bin Laden are teaming up to detonate a nuke in Brazil to free Tibet. After all, all terrorist work together... right?

Besides, what about the terrorist groups we have here? KKK? Aryans? Militias? Unabombers? Gangs? I mean, I'm sure we're harboring them in SOME fashion too.

Among the documents found were filled-out questionnaires that included such questions as "What type of missions would you like to carry out?" according to Hoellwarth. He said many recruits wanted to carry out suicide missions.

God damn Sovrana!! you hit the nail on the head! US military personnel are trained in suicide bombing missions.....man, you have all the answers....

Recruits were also apparently taught how to make bombs, he said. The Marines found chemicals, beakers and pipes.

and yeah, we routinely train our soldiers to make and deploy chemical weapons and pipe bombs....brilliant deduction....did you read the same article smoker and i did?

Terrorist tactics include the ability to turn an ordinary citizen into a weapon of destruction using cheap, affordable, available, common, items.

BS, if you really wanted to you could cruise the 'net and find ways to make bombs. If you really didn't have the 'net, get a book, heck, watch T.V. rent the video.

All the same, training someone to be terrorist could take less than 2 seconds:

"Hello terror-recruit, strap on this vest, go the mall, and push this button."

"Next."

All teh same, this "conclusive" evidence that Iraq had terrorist cells operating/training in their lands isn't news. Don't bother acting like it's a smoking gun.

Get your head out of your ass, Big Sugar. Of course Saddam didn't support terrorism -- it was a series of misunderstandings and blatant propaganda from the Bush Administration.

Example: When Saddam gave $25K to the families of suicide-bombers, that was little more than a coincidence... they just happened to be the winners of the weekly Saddam Sweepstakes.

I could go on with other examples, but suffice to say, you owe Saddam an apology. You can pass the apology on to Abu Nidal, who can then relay it to Saddam in hell.

While you two (and probably three) are enjoying your "told you so's" I am seriously asking for anyone who honestly doubted, or denied, that Saddam had links to terrorism.

No, not specific links to AlQ vs. the Congonese Guerillas, I mean I want to hear from whoever earnestly believed the claims that Saddam harbored, supported, or was otherwise kind to, any terrorist, to please stand up and support their argument or admit capitulation.

I doubt you'll get that from anyone, because any sensible person will have realized that was an unsupportable stance.

in other words...
the post is a response to those who think a "point" has been made b/c terrorists have been found to exist in Iraq.YOu have not embarrassed all, or the majority of the anti-IF group, because that was not their argument.

Speaking for myself, I am not embarassed, I was sure we'd find it. Along with chem/bio, nuclear projects, human rights violations, and such.

yes I did.

I meant in theory, our military does similar things. Our military personnel goes out with the understanding that they may die in combat...they do this willingly for our country and we see this as heroic....yet when other armies do it it's terrorism....blah, blah, blah...it's been said before.

I think (or hope) our military knows how to make and use bombs too!

Besides, just because people answered the questionaire "I want to be a suicide bomber." doesn't necessarily mean they were trained to do that. It's a leap in logic...a small one, but a leap no less.

Again....the administration is reaching. A month ago they KNEW Iraq trained terrorists and had wmd's....I guess the documents that prove this are probably still classified along with those that reveal Cheney's corrupt practices

Besides, just because people answered the questionaire "I want to be a suicide bomber." doesn't necessarily mean they were trained to do that.someone please explain to me what "in depth training" is necessary to be a martyrdom seeker?

I keep missing the point between the distinction of an untrained bomb-wearing terrorist, and a highly-skilled bomb-wearing terrorist.

Does one blow up bigger? or does their knowledge make their splattering brains into shrapnel?
