Southgate House holds 600-ish while Bogarts holds 2000-ish. That's probably the only reason that they aren't playing at Southgate....

sure, but sonic youth is so old, i think the bogart's staff will mistake lee and co. for parents picking up their punk-kids from the oh-so-street-life of short vine. and that might spook newcomer jim o'rourke into ghost-producing another wilco album. sonic youth and wilco are playing central park this summer. i am trying to finagle (sp?) tickets.

just dreamin, and a sonic youth/wilco at the southgate house just might get me on a plane to the ohio river valley. and hey, they could book 3 nights, and shreek newport with enough artsy feedback that york st. cafe ends up in clifton.

They could also book three nights at Bogarts and make 3 times as much.... I agree though.... a Southgate Sonic Youth and Wilco show would rule! I wish that we had a better 2000+ venue...

No kidding! I'm sick of having to pay an extra $150 each time for getting a new car window after having been broken into. One time the idiots stole my rear view mirror and nothing else. Another occassion, they only took my car manual so now I have no idea what fuse goes to what. I have to REALLY like the band to go to Bogarts now aday. I just can't afford it.

I hear that rear view mirror market is pretty booming right now :).

what ever happened to that place downtown that the people who run the maisonette were going to open?

Stoked is me. I just scored 2 tix to Wilco/Sonic Youth for June 19 at Tower Amp. in Cleveland. The show is G.A. and there are still some SRO tix available at TM. I got lucky and scored some G.A. tix on ebay for below face.

Should be a fabulous show.
