this show was fantastic. i was amazed at the number of people who showed up for this show on a monday night.

calexico, from tuscon, az, features horns, vibes, pedal steel, stand up bass, gtrs/drums to create dusty, desert soundscapes with lyrical imagery to match. great great great live show if you are into real people making real music who are not concerned with image and rock star posturing.

great band and great live show. they will probably return in september or october. don't miss them!

ruby was fantastic, as always.

I saw calexico in New York last October and I thought they were rather boring. Most of their songs sounded the same and they were all wearing masks. I actually feel asleep standing up during their show.

Let's just say that I was unimpressed.
However, that show also featured !!! who kicked my ass.
