color test's album (which I've heard snippets of and is fantastic) will be released on the unlike label (http://www.theunlike.com). not sure of the release date. I'm sure sammy will be on here soon enough to clue us all in.

there's also a clabbergirl/color test split single coming out on datawaslost sometime here soon, and tracks on the new dwl and unlike comps.

they've got some mp3s of the new stuff over at colortest.net (http://www.colortest.net)

Hey.

Their album will be out by early summer on the Unlike Label. They will also have a song on our comp and they'll have 2 recordings on our top secret project to be announced soon. :)

You know what they say... opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.

I've seen Color Test twice, and I'm sorry, but I think they suck some major wang, and judging by the rest of the audience I think the feeling was mutual.

Not knocking anybody's opinion, just wondering aloud how it's possible.

i saw color test open for a favourite band of mine at the SGH in august and it was the only time i've seen them, but i thought they were great, and i was disappointed that they didn't have an album out then... i haven't seen them play since because i saw them the night before i moved away from cinci. :(

For what it's worth, I didn't really dig Color Test the one time I saw them either.

Sorry, sorry, just not my cup of tea
Then again, saying "not my cup of tea" reminds me of The Verve Pipe, who actually *are* my cup of tea, so what do I know?

I dont know if colortest has a new one out yet but Cincinnati based band Hierophant does. Go to www.hierophantsound.com to sample three tracks from the new album "Portals" Won't hurt your ears to give it a try! You may like it. I do.

According to the "Minimum Gauge" section of citybeat, on page 34 of this weeks issue.

"...the current version of Color Test is no more."

i'm not a rumour spreader but now it seems official. one of the guys in the band was stating they were finished when i ran into him at the comet on the 14th. i thought he might have just been really drunk and upset, i guess he wasn't.

this is true.
funny though. i don't remember contacting anyone at city beat about that. good old hear say i guess.
but yes colortest has some new members.

No, you were right zippy. He was really drunk and upset, and apparantly also telling the sad truth.

I hope Color Test continues to rock.

Well, yes, I suppose I was pretty drunk and upset. Really, though, have you ever seen me any other way? But everything's okay ( I know how all you little modern rock sweeties worry about old drunk and upset Teddy). Color Test has A WHOLE BUNCH of new members who are all fantastic musicians. Everyone no longer in Color Test wishes the best for Carl and Ben and the rest of the new line-up. I hope they continue to annoy dumb sons of bitches like Kwyjibo for years to come.
