Who else loved Old School? I think its an instant classic. It made me want to move back to Oxford so bad.

I'm anxious to see it, but there's no movie EVER that could make me want to return to Oxford if I was gone. I'm leaving this summer (not soon enough) and won't be coming back any time soon.

great piece of cinema. we saw a preview of it in january and it sucked to be bottled up that long about it - it's way better than the stinkin' previews make it look. it's like a throwback to those early 80s comedies. will ferrell (hosting dave letterman for sick dave on thurs) and vince vaughn (hosting dave letterman for sick dave on tues) are especially great.
i go through this, before you wake up,

Late, but what are you gonna do? It's finally at the cheap movies.
I thought parts of it were hilarious, but other parts pretty disturbing...Especially the part where Luke Wilson sleeps with a 17 year old. Sorry, that really REALLY bothered me. I kept waiting for them to be all "oh, nothing happened, she really did just sleep" but they never did. The fact that it was stupid fucking Kim from 24 didn't help either.
Andy Dick giving the BJ lessons was pretty weird, but it was funny at least...and weird, really weird.

Now available on DVD, Folks...
My roommate bought the unrated version. I'm not sure what has been added to make it "unrated", but I plan to find out.
Juliana - you could assume that the daughter is 18 years old since she is a soon-to-be-graduating senior.

I don't know, apparently I was completly irrational with my freaking out.
I guess it hit me so hard because my little sister just graduated over the weekend, and it just brought all kinds of icky thoughts up.
Plus I was 17 when I graduated.

Plus I was 17 when I graduated. I turned 18 and still had 6 months to go before graduating. One of those "on the cusp" babies...

I turned 18 with 9 months and 3 days before graduation. If I had been born 1 day earlier, I would've graduated a year earlier. Oh well.
So...Old School. It's good, but not a classic. I'll end up owning it as soon as I find it for $17.99 or less.

my academic life tends to be too serious (grad student in education & women's studies) and so from time to time, i find that a hysterical movie like this is really what i need for a break from reality.
with that being said, i laughed like an idiot the whole time...
but i too was bugged by the sleeping w/ an underage (possibly) girl, as well as the obese black man-- why does the one black guy have to double as the fat guy too? i get so sick of the way that fat people are used as comic relief...like we're not human. i dunno.
anyway, i still laughed my ass off.

i watched Old School the other day while i was babysitting. it was pretty funny i suppose. Vince Vaughn is always great; i wish i could hang out with him. but i didn't really care for the movie too much. i expect higher quality movies from these men. don't get me wrong, it had it's moments and I definitely laughed but whatever.
and i'm pretty sure that they actually SAID that the girl was 17. (i graduated high school when i was 17 and was even about 2 weeks into my first semester of college before becoming of age. i'm a youngun.)
