A Pollinair Rave (Of Montreal)

Is anyone going to see A Pollinair Rave with Kevin Barnes from Of Montreal at the Southgate House tomorrow night? I'll be there with bells on. And if it's anything like what Of Montreal puts out then I would recommend that everyone else be there as well. You should have your bells on too! (Let me know if you don't have any and I'll grab some extra.)

i saw a pollinair rave in brooklyn a few weeks ago. they do skits with costumes and pre-recorded music. it was interesting, to say the least. they did their thing for about 20-25 minutes and that was it.

for some reason an image of the SNL cheerleaders just popped into my head ("who's got spartan spirit?")...

if nothing else, go for color test...those boys know how to rock the house.

what was the name of the first band that played?

i loved the show. and i totally wanted to bring kevin barnes home with me like i thought. alas, he has a fun wife. soo cute!
i even imposed on the two of them and got kevin to burn me a cd and it's so fun! i love that guy. his songs make me happy.

and i checked on the sgh webpage and it says the first band was Wil-o-ee. i missed them though.

and did you see what all they were selling. even though i was sitting right there i still waited too long. those things were gone in a second.

and i, too, waited a second too long apprently. i didn't see anything they were selling. that's why i felt the need to impose and ask for a special made cd.
it's just a 7 song cd with songs that they sang at the show and a couple others. it's pretty fun too. i couldn't make out any of the actual words to the songs at the show; the cd is much clearer. but it doesn't have Nina's song, which I was upset about.
those barnes' make me happy.

and don't worry about the conversation thing. it was fading fast anyway. i think it just gave him a good excuse to end it. probably better that way.

when is the of montreal show in april? i was turned on to them by my ex housemate and i love it love it love it! :) i would love to see the show...

i found of montreal coming to the beachland ballroom/tavern in cleveland on april 8. they won't come to cincinnait until the 30th.
it says it TBA, but i'm assuming it's going to be at the southgate house.
