I've been meaning to post this forever.

Ben Lee, Ben Folds, and Ben Kweller have been working on some songs together and are touring in Australia as "The Bens". They are supposed to record about 4 songs and release the EP for that small tour.

Any thoughts on this collaboration? Any thoughts on a better NAME for this mini-temporary-supergroup?

All three have a tendency towards sarcastic/ironic songs. Kinda peppy, kinda happy-- but not really. I'd call it Benihaha.

Then I'd add Ben Watts and Ben Gibbard.

If anyone was hoping for a US release of this project, I have good news...

I went to see Ben Lee recently and got a chance to talk to him after the show. I asked about the EP they'd been selling at the shows and he not only said there were plans to release it stateside, but that there's also an album in the works.

There was supposed to be an album in the works huh?? It's too bad that didn't happen because that EP was awesome.
