Ode to Sean Hannity

Aping urbanity
Oozing with vanity
Plump as a manatee
Faking humanity
Journalistic calamity
Intellectual inanity
Fox Noise insanity
You’re a profanity
Hannity

Keith Olbermann read it on his show the other night and I thought it was pretty brilliant myself. Seemed as though Cleese wrote it specifically for Olbermann.

Limbaugh, huh? What rhymes with Limbaugh? Maybe it should be about Rush but then it might offend that band from Canada.

i'm trying to remember the last time john cleese was remotely funny. it might be "a fish called wanda", as i can't remember anything good from him after that. wow, that was 1988... 20 years is a long time of being un-funny.

he should watch old re-runs of the 10,000 pyramid and pick up some tips from nipsey russell on how to write funnier poems.

I couldn't decide whether or not to respond to this but in the end I picked: yes.

Personally I though Cleese was kind of funny in the 3rd Rock from the Sun work that he did... that was post "Wanda."

Though I wonder if it is that you just don't care for this on the merits of it being anti-Hannity?

Or maybe you actually do think this is funny but not as funny as Nipsey Russell on the pyramid programs where Nipsey would wax poetically about some such inanity as provided by a clue or response?

Either way, I found this amusing, if for no other reason than that it is lampooning someone I have a rather distinctive distaste for politically and unless "Hannity" is an act I can safely assume I would not like him personally or socially as well... Maybe you should check out a thread by some other currently funny person who could write a clever line or two about someone you find politically and personally appalling and I could claim similar unfunniness over time so as to disqualify it as being funny now...

Or maybe you'd like to defend Hannity? We could have a whole thread about him I assume.

I thought this was funny and presumed that others might too. Sorry to have troubled you.

The back of the throat thing, that's the bile rising.
