500 Replay

Last week there were lots of promos for the replaying of the Modern Rock 500 stating that the 500 songs would be played over and over. I come in today and find that's not how it's being done. Why the change? I was looking forward to listening to it at work and thought the over and over format would give me a chance to hear more of it. Disappointing.

I've been listening all day yesterday and when I could today. Fantastic.

I'm never near a computer on Memorial Day weekend, so the replay is the only time I get to hear it. I just want these 500 songs on my iPod. That'd be perfect.

Yep - right after the last lap is run and the final checkered flag waves (i.e. next week).

i noticed alot of overlap yesterday between the 500 replay and the playlist on the standard(?) broadcast(?)...not necessarily songs, but bands/eras, etc. i can't remember a specific example, but i noticed maybe 3 times something matching on the now playing list (standard) with what i was hearing (vintage)...

was this intentional, subliminal...or was i imagining it all?

I wasn't listening when these songs came up, but the Now Playing list didn't match the play list from Memorial Day. Dub Be Good To Me by Beats International was added between #1 and #500 and #290 Cure for Pain by Morphine was dropped. Like I said, I wasn't listening at the time so maybe it was just a glitch in the now playing list.

Does anyone know what happened?

The #500 to #1 rollover should be around 9:00pm Friday and #290 should come up around 12:30pm Saturday. Hopefully I'll be listening each time to hear if the songs were changed or just a problem with the Now Playing list.

The Beats International track was added to pad the final hour's broadcast, tis all. Don't know why the Morphine song was dropped but this is the first I've heard of it. I'm sure it was a simple glitch. Hope you're enjoying the countdown!

The glitch as I saw it was just that the Morphine song wasn't reflected in the list, Cause I definitely heard it. Right next to the XTC song.
