The most lame (as in weak) attack I've seen in a long time is Clinton dogging Obama about not attending an umpteenth debate in Wisconsin. How many friggin times to we need to see them debate? As if it matters that you debate in that particular state. Barack should run an ad saying "Hillary Clinton eats skyline chilli, why doesnt she eat at Gold Star? Who exactly is pulling the strings?".

This Clintonian debate attack doesn't even have teeth. So lame. The sad thing is at least one voter will be swayed by her calling him chicken. Its not like anything new or interesting would happen. Hillary's tactics remind me of this skit from Mr Show:

She needs a debate. Gloves are off at this point and she has nothing to lose and everything to gain. It's all fair.

She does have 2 coming up, one in ohio, one in texas! It may be fair, but its petty. The thing is it will probably have more effect for her than more biting and more factual criticism she has done in the past. I guess I'm making more commentary on the idiots who buy the argument than her tactic. If it works, it works. Very Rovian.

It's especially lame because she's already moved on to campaign on Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania--but pretends to be concerned that Wisconsin's voters are somehow being shortchanged because Obama won't agree to a debate there.

I'm surprised no one's posted anything about her whining about Obama's "plagerizing" (sp?) speech yet. They talked about that on CBS Nightly News last night. She's one to talk. She lifted part of a speech that Edwards gave some five months earlier. Supposedly ALL the candidates lift snippets from each other's speeches at one time or other - Democrat and Republican. Makes me wonder if she's become desperate.

I don't know how it works over there.
Around here, the leading candidate (according to the polls) never attends the scheduled debates, except maybe one or two. Considering 0.002% of the population even watches those debates (over here, at least), it's unlikely the candidate suffers anything from failing to attend.
