I find this (http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003546868) odd, since when Chris Difford was interviewed on VH1 a few years ago he seemed to have NO interest in getting back together with Glen Tilbrook. Let's hope it happens.

Meanwhile...

Difford is about to launch his first US TOUR (http://www.chrisdifford.com/tour.php) in ages. Sadly, no Cincinnati show. But how is that surprising since almost everyone skips Porkopolis these days.

Squeeze?!

My HS GF loved squeeze... She had a shitload of live shows - back before cd burners and high speed inet.

We saw Squeeze at Bogarts with Amiee Mann back in ? 1994?

We went went around back after the show where I think she talked to some guys from the band. I was bored out of my mind the whole night as I wasn't a fan.

Ahhh... memories...

Saw them open for Sting in Atlanta around 1991.

Jools has been so successful and busy with his own show that I don't think he was particularly interested either.

I love Squeeze. If they still have the chops I'd love to see them play again.

I remembered it the other way 'round - Chris wanted to reunite but Glenn didn't.

Anyway, they were together recently to promote a new UK Squeeze best of??? You've got to be kidding - they've had more useless re-packaging of hits than XTC...

No, it was Difford who disliked touring, thus passed on the reunion. Maybe the recent death of his brother has caused him a change of heart -his brother was a HUGE Squeze fan and wanted them to reunite.

Keep in mind that Difford & Tillbrook remained pals, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to see them get back together. Recent rumors say that Squeeze may join Crowded House on their reunion tour...hmmmmmm. :)

Oh, Chris Difford is touring the USA NOW!!! (http://www.chrisdifford.com/tour.php)

We got an offer just today to support Crowded House on their American tour, which I think would be an amazing tour, but I'm not sure we're both in agreement about how we would do it.

Keep your toes crossed. :)

A reunion tour would be great. I am probably in the minority here, but the one Squeeze song I never want to hear again is Black Coffee in Bed.

I think I have heard "Tempted" enough times to be tempted to strangle someone. Considering how many GREAT tunes Difford & Tillbrook have written, you could perform a tour without playing the hits. But...this is America, and we live for the songs that we know. Oh well, I am a grouch.

make that two of us. i really don't like 'tempted' anymore at all, sadly. i would kill, however, to hear them do 'hourglass' live. :D

East Side Story is my absolute favourite. I love almost every song on it and eerily, I know all the words.
