fuck the military. think about all those useless well projects in Africa that can be abandoned and how much easier it will be to get potable water to third world areas without any. wow. 600 gallons a day.

Actually, this technology was first introduced in DUNE by Frank Herbert. If you want to read the finest Sci-Fi series, you've got to read the DUNE books. Head and shoulders better than the Star Wars or Lord of the Rings books.

I'm a huge sci-fi reader and I got through Dune o.k., but the rest of the series bored the living shit out of me. Too much politics and not enough of anything else at all. Stillsuits need to be invented though.
