This reminds me of the early WOXY days and the nights I would stay up late recording IRS The Cutting Edge on Mtv.

Ahhh, The True Believers. Look how young Alejandro is!

How about the Alarm? They're serious about being serious.

Wow, I saw the Fleshtones - twice, I think - in Lexington at a long defunct but once great club called the Wrocklege. How I miss it. That's for the reminder.

Good memories; was one of my favorite shows way back when. Peter Zeremba was too cool for words...

Any idea who played the theme song?

yes! that was part of WRFL's "alternative music month", if I remember correctly. I have no doubt we were at some of the same shows (http://home.fuse.net/brianh/shows.html). the wrocklage was a great place to see a show.

just to stay somewhat on topic, I have a vague memory of the cutting edge. what channel was it on back in the day?

MTV on the last sunday of the month - it was the precursor to 120 Minutes.

I loved this show! Didn't they use a Klark Kent (Stewart Copeland) instrumental as the theme song?

that would be totally appropriate. did you know he did the theme song to "the equalizer"?

But of course, mon ami! Since drums were the first "rock" instrument I played, Stewart was definitely an early hero (with Terry Bozzio ranking a close second).

Terry Bozzio, the ex-husband and bandmate of Dale Bozzio?

Ah the good ol' days. I still probably a have a couple of WRFL Alternative Music week/month flyers somewhere in my attic. Am I just being sentimental or has RFL gone down hill a little bit since then.
