Thought I would start a separate thread for this film.....
Because so few prints were made, there is a tight schedule for screenings of the film.
The Cinti opening date is 9/20/02 and it will be at the Esquire. For those who will not see it at the Esquire, it will be in Columbus (opening date is 8/28/02 at Cedar Lee). Looks like it will eventually play in Louisville as well.

They haven't announced when its playing in Indy (which is still an hour away). I thought about going up to Chicago tonite to see it, but the tix sold out in no time. I've been following this film since the start, and am anticipating the final product. All the reviews sound positive, and not only will this be another bolster for Wilco, but for Sam Jones as well (he turned down an offer from VH1 to direct Behind the Music episodes along w/ some other show that never got off the ground because he decided to do this film). The bonus will be hearing the songs that didn't make YHF, the older songs that they play out, and the "demo" versions of the tracks that became YHF. I've heard a lot of them already, but to see them be molded and changed should be cool.

I am so pumped that this is going to actually play in Lexington (Oct 4th). I can't wait to see it.

Someone needs to hide the scissors at The Esquire.

I see that there will be a Dayton showing too for those of you towards the North of the Esquire boycott.

How about the DVD release date for the lazy, anti-social bums like myself?:p

I can only hope they move the date back in d8n, since I'm going to be knee-deep in wedding on the 25th, and up to my ass in Hawaii for a week afterward.

There will be words if the date at The Esquire gets pushed back again. It's already been pushed to the last week my Entertainment! two-for-one coupon is valid. :D

Yeah, so I saw it on tuesday...damn, that was fun. A documentary that actually has a storyline, complete with character development and forshadowing...I never thought I'd see the day. Totally recommended.

DirecTV subscribers (and possibly digital cable folks as well), the cable network Trio is showing this movie Saturday, 7/12, at 1 PM. I saw part of it Sunday night, and really enjoyed it. Plan to watch the rest this Saturday.

They also have it listed on the schedule on August 20th, and will no doubt show it every now and again hereafter, since their programming selection is fairly limited, and they appear to have the rights to it.

Yeah, it was on last night too. I caught bits and pieces.

I caught a bit of it this past sunday. Didn't realize they were showing it more than once. Hmmm... I guess 'I Am Trying To Break Your Heart' is to Trio what 'Beastmaster' used to be to HBO back in the day. Which is a good thing. Trio also shows old Sessions at West 54th episodes, which are almost always most excellent.

Trio this month is highlighting country acts (but include Chris Isaak, Lucinda Williams, and Wilco among others) with Sessions reruns and the Wilco film being the highlights. Here's the schedule.
