Good stuff from Barbara Streisand. She puts up an essay on her website calling Bush a "C" student. Then its sound that there are 11 misspelled words in her own damn essay.

From Drudge:

STREISAND: BUSH IS DUMMBE; ESSAY FILLED WITH SPELLING ERRORS

Barbara Streisand has launched a new spelling error-ridden dispatch on the Internet -- a dispatch that mocks President Bush for being a "C student!"

In her February 28th, 2006 essay, Streisand flubs 11 words, a personal record.

• Irag
• curruption
• dictatoriship
• crediblity
• Adminstration
• warrented
• desperatly
• preceedings
• ouside
• subpoening
• responsibilty

And this time around, Streisand makes four spelling errors -- in one sentence!

["In the 1970’s, during the Nixon Adminstration, serious political curruption arose and the Republican leadership stepped up and took responsibilty by holding hearings and subpoening administration officials."]

Streisand has not seen fit to run a spellcheck on the rant as of Noon, March 06.

"The arrogance of this C student," Streisand says of Bush.

That should be "it's." And it's really not "sound."

Murphy's Law: An article describing errors will itself contain errors.

It never fails. One reason why I avoid ripping on someones' spelling or grammar 99.9% of the time unless it's blatant and/or I just want to be a sarcastic prick.

Plus, I misspell "criminal" all the time.

I'll just bet the above has errors...

P.S. I'm fairly certain that Barbara Streisand calling someone a "C student" in the midst of a rant laden with spelling and/or usage errors is not actually irony, either.

Well, no. But she had the booze, I had the chronic. So the irony is that it actually was "ironic" even though it wasn't ironic.

Two things I learned:

1. Bush would pass in the Barbara Streisand School???

2. Da Spellchecka actually goes into CE/P. This narrows it down a bit.
