I've had problems since yesterday, when all my windows media player would play was 30 seconds of A.C. Newman's "Miracle Drug" before buffering.

I'm having the same issues. It just keeps comming back as buffering. When I mouse over the buffering it just says 0%. I wonder if the buffer on the Windows Media server they're using needs to be reset. The link file could have gotten corrupted I guess.

I can't get the wmp stream to work either, though Vintage wmp works just fine. Had the problem since yesterday.

You guys should try downloading Winamp. Its not only an excellent way to listen to woxy.com, but to all of your music on the computer. Its got a graphic EQ and holds streams really well. Its Freeware. Then, when you're done go to www.shoutcast.com and check out the universe of Internet radio stations....

that would be great if it wasn't blocked by my company ;-(

then again, almost everything is.

Um, the point of this thread is that the stream is genuinely having problems, not that WMP sucks.

Email Bryan Jay. He doesn't keep track of the boards.

I just spoke to barb and she said Bryan Jay gets 400 e-mails a day. She's supposed to send me a download to trace the problem. Having read this post, it sounds like it's coming from their end. Someone should try to call them back and let them know.

Since I RARELY ever have problems, it might be the player/server. Especially, since half of the entire world is using WMP. I never said WMP sucks. Its serviceable.

Sounds like he needs a better email clie^H^H^HErrrrrr. It'd be nice if he had a way to dump client-side help requests into a bulk folder that gets an automatic reply saying "for client issues, talk to the forum".

IMAP -> mbox folder -> formail (a unix script)

I used to do that for automatic spam reporting. Works pretty well.

Alright guys, Windows Media High and Low should be back. Email me if you still have issues.

The quickest way to alert me to technical problems is via email. Of course this is AFTER you've checked everything on your end: closed and restarted your media player; stopped and restarted your computer; etc. I normally only check the boards if I'm alerted to an issue by Mike, Barb or Shiv.
