Could you play more 1990s stuff please? You could replace those obscure cheap folk-country-kitsh indie pop songs by artists that almost nobody knows with more classics by spiritualized, gene, grant lee buffalo, saint etienne, charlatans, house of love, inspiral carpets, adorable, therapy?, orbital etc.

Most of the tunes from the 90s you do play is repeated too often. For instance Boo Radleys are only represented by two insignificant tunes played every two, three days. Play singles from "Giant Steps" and "Wake Up!" as well.

I listen to the vintage channel quite a lot. Good luck!

I think the idea is to expose people to those obscure artists...I don't know I thought the purpose of independent radio was to expose you to artist you aren't familiar with as well as play some of your favorites.

Last I heard, Julie was a married, working mom in the Detroit area.

Julie - if you're out there - let us know!

Yes, I know the station is about to present classics as well as lost and forgotten mini-classics familiar to just few peaople, but sometimes it's like three or more songs in a row worth laughter and quite boring, a kind of 80's fifth rate indie mixed with folk/country stuff. On the other hand the nineties catalogue is really limited and tends to be often repeated.

Could you be a bit more specific.

What do you consider "80's fifth rate indie" and "folk/country?"

Hey vintage modern rockers, it's always nice to be remembered and see my name pop up on the boards.
"The Man" keeps me from checking in on the boards most days, but rest-assured I'm tuning in to WOXY Vintage during the 9-5 grind.
I sill hope to see the new digs one day

I love Woxy Vintage but I have to say the Fine Young Canibals and Bob Marley are played way too often. I would like to see more british bands from the 80's early ninties like The Mighty Lemon Drops, Kitchens Of Distinction and Inspiral Carpets. INXS tends to be a little heavy and not enough Echo and The Cure at times but overall it still beats any other station on the web. I have rediscovered a number of bands so I can't complain that Woxy Vintage isn't doing its job but if I hear FYC one more time, I am going to go insane......

I'll pile on with a plea for pet oldie faves Slowdive (cuz damn but their cover of Nancy Sinatra's "Some velvet Morning" makes me feel funny in a good way) and Dead Can Dance. That being said, absolutely love having the Vintage channel! Workday is powered by the main channel bu the weekends are vintage time. Sad to say I am catching on to "new" bands from the Vintage channel now. Sins of my wasted classic rock youth :(

i would assume they are feeding the vintage channel with new....errrr, old stuff occasionally, broadening the library.

Jeff Buckley

I can say with authority that pretty much all of those are in the mix save Catherine & Jellyfish. They're two bands the station never got behind during their glimmer in the sun...
