Anyone else having problems with VLC?

I love the stereo-sound of the aac+ stream, but I'm finding VLC to be very buggy -- it craps out on me at least a couple of times during any given listening session. And to fix it, I have to re-load the aac48.pls file into the playlist a couple of times (not just once) to get it going again. iTunes fails sometimes too, but it's easier to get going again (you just click the MP3 link on the WOXY page and the stream loads automatically).

It's also no iTunes when it comes to user-friendliness. Is there any way to get it to remember the WOXY streams in its playlist? It's a pain having to re-load them and re-adjust the EQ settings every time you quit VLC.

Yeah I can't get much to play, either. Shame support was discontinued. Also a shame Apple hasn't been on the ball with AAC+ support, too.

Ditto on both counts -- and the ReadMe file that comes with VLC is so useless, it seems to have been written by that snotty IT-support guy from Saturday Night Live. :p

I won't be any help on this one as I use VLC Player on a daily basis with no issues at all (Tiger 10.4.2).

As for saving the links in VLC, once you have the streams loaded in, hit command-S and save the playlist. Then, just re-open the playlist and the stream will start playing. iTunes may try to steal the file association, but control click on the playlist file you created, select Get Info and change the Open With setting to VLC Player.

Thanks Bryan, I'll give it a go!
