I don't know if it would have been as easy to kill him as they make it seem, but it sure would have been a lot easier than it is now.

I don't think it matters. Killing him would just be a PR move and would have little to no effect on the loose network of terrorist cells operating under the name Al-Qaeda.

'Stopping terrorism' isn't the goal of the war on terror any more than 'stopping drugs' is the goal of the war on drugs.
