i've already posted this in the tech thread...so pardon the repetition...

does anyone know of a good NFL office pool software program that will run those "Confidence" pools??

i have the displeasure of running this years...and i would rather not spend 4-hours doing it...

thanks

Sorry, I'm not sure.

But those are really fun.

Are you talking about the ones where you pick the winners and assign a confidence level (1-16, or however many games there are that week)? If so, I'm pretty sure Yahoo's "Pick'Em" (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/pickem) game lets you set it up as a confidence system... I'm sure there are plenty of others, but I knew of that one off the top of my head since I've played it before. Hope that helps!

yeah...what i'm looking for is a program that will do all the math, standings, and stuff for each week. all i want to do is input the information. due to the fact that some of the people that i'm running this league for don't like using websites...i will still have to do stuff the old fashioned way.

basically i want to cut down on the time spent caculating the results...

FOB---thanks for the suggestion though....

I'm guessing since you calculate these by hand, I could write a program in Excel that will give you what you want. I don't know how the confidence pools work, but if I knew what calculations you needed I could try it.

I wrote an Excel program. I think any scoring system would work, but I assume that you rank the games 1-16 with 1 being lowest confidence and 16 being highest and if you are right you get that many points. I wrote it for up to 10 players, but I could make it more. It will just take some more work. If you want me to send it to you, just send me an email and I will get it to you.
