Highest grossing sports?

Anybody know where I can find a list that shows America's highest grossing sports in order?

grossing in what way ? ticket sales ? television contracts ? merchandising ?

I think it may be three different answers for those three categories alone. I'm guessing that baseball makes the most from ticket sales. Football has the biggest television contracts, and basketball in merchandising.

Mostly I'd like to see total revenue or profits from all the big five American sports... MLB,NFL,NBA,NHL,NASCAR

I can't find any place on the web that compares the "big five."

No biggie, just trying to settle a debate. As far as teams though, I heard that nobody from any sport comes close to the Yankees.

i've heard manchester united dwarfs the yankees in money. but that came from a soccer nut...so take it with a grain of salt.

1. Curling
2. Badmitton
3. Shuffleboard
4. Bocce Ball
5. Synchronized Swimming

The NFL is definitely number one in terms of revenue, and almost all the teams are profitable thanks to TV money. NASCAR has the second highest TV contract, but I don't know how many teams turn a profit. Forget the NHL and still many NBA teams lose money. Most baseball teams make money thanks to really low payrolls. So my best guess would be:
1) NFL
2) NASCAR
3) MLB
4) NBA
5) NHL

that's what i would say, but i also don't know....the only one i am sure of is that the NFL is #1.
