My wife and I finally got around to watching the DAAP dvd last night....awesome stuff. Your piece was a great show closer and pretty funny to boot. Excellent work on yours and everyone elses. We also liked "A light in the dark" and I liked the animation on the tree hugger piece.
A+'s for everyone

Hey guys...even if you don't make it... send some votes our way, eh?
You can do it online here:
http://www.litebritetest.com/lbt05_voting.html
UT & I are both in the Animation Nation section...as it's been mentioned, mine is "The Tree Eaters" and his is "Stories of a Half Breed". There's an opportunity to vote for a winner within our category, and one for best in show (wink, wink, nudge, nudge...)

I went last night. The three BBQ's was exceptional funny. Great independent film. I caught just a minute or two of useless' animated short. Scout Nibblett was awesome as always. Their CD is definetly worth buying. I wish there was more indie film tests at southgate. This, in my opinion, is a must see. You still got tonight folks.

So which one do you want voted for what? If half of us vote UT in the category and you for best of show, and half of us vote the opposite, it won't help as well as it could. I'm sure we can guarantee you some wins if we vote consistently.
Edit - Or, I'll just vote twice. Once from work & once from home. You'll each get votes that way. :D

all in all though, im pretty happy about the whole lite brite festival. though, there were some films that just kinda went over my head, it was nice for all this indipendant work to get a venue, and it made for a fun weekend.

"Stories of a Half-Breed" totally rocked.
Then there was this semi-surrealistic creepy yet intruiging short film of the girl with the red balloons... wow... I expected Tangerine Dream era-1974 to come out and play any sec :p Thankfully VHS or Beta came out instead and cheered us up.

I picked up this free DVD. It's just a bunch of trailers though. It does have a few good songs on it. Congrats useless. From what little I did see it was not bad. I missed the plot though. Lite brite was a total sucess. It truly was an awesome event.

CONGRATS UT!!!
good to hear 3BBQ's won some stuff too... I work with the guy who built their website. I need to see the film sometime...
It sucks that I couldn't make it to the fest... But I did get to walk past it after our wedding rehersal dinner at Brio friday night. whee.
And I did get to see the Cathedrals later friday night... so the weekend wasn't all bad. And the wedding sat was fun. I added a new crush to my collection. But sunday (my free day) sucked... I spent it sleeping off my hangover, then had to return my tux... then go to work 'til midnight... yuck.
