Will NHL prospect Sidney Crosby live up to the hype.
I found this humorous because this is the first I have heard of Mr. Crosby. I answered the question "Yes".

Did'nt he play in a band with Stills, Nash, and Young back in the day???? :p

Let's put it this way...in order to "live up to the hype," all he has to do is have as successful a career as Mario Lemieux.
That's how much hype there is around him. It's really quite ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for Harold Minor to be the next Jordan and Kyle Brady to be the next Mark Bavaro.

Did anyone see Mr. Roenick's take on this? He believes the NHL should just give Crosby to the Rangers, since they are in the largest media outlet and haven't made the playoffs in forever. My question is, why not the Islanders?

So this lottery thing they are doing for the draft, is every team involved in this?

Yeah, some teams just have more balls than others. :p

But why, wasn't every team 0-0?
That dude will go to either the Rangers, Flyers, or Bruins
No way the NHL lets him go to Nashville, Minny, or Columbus

They are using the records from the last season they actually played.

No, they've based the lottery system on how many playoff apparences you've had in the past three years and how many No. 1 picks you've had in the same time frame.
Did anyone see Mr. Roenick's take on this? He believes the NHL should just give Crosby to the Rangers, since they are in the largest media outlet and haven't made the playoffs in forever. My question is, why not the Islanders?
Two reasons:
a) Long Island isn't Manhattan
b) The Rangers suck. The Islanders don't. The Rangers need the help desperately.
I hate the Rangers.

Heh...I bet you did.
I only allowed myself to really believe once the top five hit and we were still in it. Then Bettman opened the No. 3 envelope and it all ended in tears.
Oh well. We can still get a great young defenceman with the No. 3 pick.
