Somehow I doubt anyone is going.
Shouldn't it just be called NASTRUCK race instead of NASCAR truck race?

Haven't been since the inaugural race. The company I used to work for designed the infield garages and restrooms. The builder got us tickets, one section from the start/finish line. Nice track. You can see the whole track from any seat in the house. Turns 2 and 4 are where the action is.
I detailed the steel for the restrooms (7 identical buildings). if you go, take a whizz on my work.

No NASCAR is an acronym -- National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.

If you didn't look close enough, you'd swear they were stock cars. Today, just as much race track data goes into truck design as car design. Trucks are built more like cars every day. Not as fast as stock cars, but they still crash and swap paint. They raced four wide at a couple restarts during the inaugural race.

It'd have to be NASTAR -- National Association for Stock Truck Auto Racing? :D

Yep. They really go after each other and put on a good show. I'd like to see Hamilton take it again this year

I've never been to a race, just watch on TV on lazy weekend afternoons. I'd probably like a race if I went though.

I'm not going, never have gone, and unless work makes me, will never go. The company I work for is one of the speedways biggest sponsors, so I have to make race programs and fylers and such. The only sad part is I won't get to see people enjoying my work, or if they were effective, or just plain crap.
But after researching this project, I'd like to see Bill Lester win.

bristol speedway is the best place to see a race. i love the short tracks.
if you go, try and get pit passes...that way you can really hear all that horsepower under the hood.
i have to admit, i'm a nascar fan...
jimmie johnson #48 will be your winner this year....

So what you're saying here is that now they're having races for trucks that can turn left, too?
Booooooooooooooring.
