How Do I Insert Pictures?

How do y'all go about putting pictures in your messages? My luddite mind is having a terribly dificult time making this work.

go get your pic. if it's a url, copy the url to your post and then type in front and in the back. no spaces.

if you save it to your picture file, dump it into an account at a site like www.photobucket.com. they'll have it all ready to copy into your post.
