Take Back the Flag! Honor the Troops this Memorial Day!
They don't own it. We do. It's OUR FLAG, and OUR country. Take back the Flag...honor those who were sent to die. Take this FREE pdf and slip it under the windshields of all those whose only support of our troops is a yellow ribbon magnet on their cars, and a vote for the warmongers in Washington:
TAKE BACK THE FLAG! IT BELONGS TO REAL AMERICANS!
* Real Americans tell the TRUTH!
* Real Americans treat the world with respect.
* Real Americans value the Constitution.
* Real Americans value Human rights.
* Real Americans value the environment.
* Real Americans believe in equality.
* Real Americans fight for veteran’s benefits.
* Real Americans fight for peace, not for war.
* Real Americans want to be respected, not feared.
* Real Americans want to lead by example, not by gunpoint.
I am a real American.
I am a patriot.
An informed American is a responsible American.
Stay informed; be a responsible American.

Whether or not you agree with any war the US has fought, huge numbers of US males died at too young an age.
Right wing, left wing, pro-military or anti-war: take a bit of time today to think about all the people who died and hope we never have to fight a war again.
It's really not that hard, and you don't have to compromise any of your beliefs.

Nice post. That kind of says it all.

I disagree with that passive sounding suggestion of inaction. The citizens aren't the ones to blame for war but the government makes us do it & puts the blame on us! They turn around & say "It's what we want!"
Someone take responsibility for causing a war! PLZ! Someone step up & stop accusing others of being "the villan" & just admit we're at war because you failed your job at finding a peacible solution.

I do agree with the premise of this thread.
The President and myself have worked hard on valuing all of those truly "American" atributes through the past 4 years. Unfourtunately, the terrorists and enemies of America, do not.
The terrorists don't want freedom or liberty or human rights. They believe in killing, torturing and harming innocent people. Our Administration has taken a stand up and a step up in fighting these evil-doers and thugs by being proactive in the War on Terror.
We have also fought for Veterans benefits and the Enviornment with passage of the Clear Skies Act and the Healthy Forest Initaitive, these are shining examples of how far we will go to defend the Enviornment with respect to the Free American market.

I'll take responsibility. I am to blame to the extent that I supported both Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, I voted for George W. Bush, and actively tried to convince others to do so in a battleground state. Earlier, during the primaries, I urged Democrat friends to support Joe Lieberman, the only man in the field with an unequivocal position in favor of both Operations. I am personally responsible for registering eight other people to vote in November, all of whom were for Bush. John Kerry carried Montgomery County, but lost Ohio convincingly -- and I played a part in that.
My peaceable solution was for Saddam Hussein to comply with UN Resolutions he had been flaunting since the conclusion of the Gulf War; or if he preferred, that he should surrender his armed forces and abdicate power to someone who would bring about such compliance. Either of those would have worked for me, and most likely for the U.S. Congress as well. But Saddam wouldn't work with me on that, the dick.
Anyway, you're welcome.

Congratulations Orville, you voted for Bush. Now the US is safer than ever and Iraqis are free from a brutal dictator. Maybe you should take some time to thank those soldiers who died to provide us with these things and how fortunate you are to be alive and to enjoy it.
Congratulations Duemellon, you hate Bush. Now American soldiers are being killed in Iraq and it's all the government's fault. Maybe you should take some time to think about the soldiers who tragically died in this pointless war.
Or you two could sit around like jackasses and use those deaths to try and score points on a messageboard.
There's still an hour left...

Or I could let a maudlin and self-serving post on a pop-music messageboard suffice for my observance like you did and call it a day.
