I saw the movie Crash from the 90's. How was I to know it was going to be a trap that would send me into "that thread?"

:sigh:I visited your thread & u'r talking more about the merits of it as a film. Izokay for a moviebuff's feel b/c whether or not it's subject line it's a well acted, scripted, & paced, movie.

It could've been about green collared duck mating & been a great movie, it would seem.

But what the sociopolitical commentary was, how it made you feel, what things it might've introduced to you about race-relations, is the question I'm interested in talking about. Not if Brendan Fraser didn't ruin the movie, or Sandra Bullock didn't get all "helpless & annoying". This movie's flurry of moments was quite interesting & rivetting all to themselves, & some ppl have hailed it as "the most important race-relations" movie in awhile.

What does that mean? Do you walk away with a new sense of how pevailent racism is? A new way to approach racial conflict resolutions? A new method of interacting with diversity in your life? What did it help you see? What did it mean to me? What flavor water are our horses lead to now?

cross posted becuase I'm interested to find out & I know some Film forumers don't come here so they might not know there's a discussion and can make the choice to risk it.
