Bryan - When I hit the "Buy" icon in the Playlist I get the following message:

Found

The document has moved here.
Apache/1.3.31 Server at njws0065.private.linksynergy.com Port 80

I am using Firefox 1.0.3. BTW, it works with Internet Explorer. How do I fix this?

Gracias

I think this is a needed workaround for some iTunes silliness. There was a discussion in another thread about this. It still works, you just have to deal with that bogus page, right?

Nope, thats all I get and it does not redirect when I click the here link. So its iTunes fault. I should have known...

Yup, you can thank the way the iTunes Music Store internally handles some of its linking schemes for that one. See this post: http://woxy.com/boards/showthread.php?t=26298#post504218

If you have iTunes installed properly, then it shouldn't be a problem. Firefox should recognize the itms:// protocol. That ugly window is a byproduct that I can't really get rid of. It's either that or Firefox not working at all with our iTMS links. Firefox works correctly when using direct product links. But since it's impractical for us to go through our entire music library and look up the direct song link for each and every song by hand, we have to use the search query links.

fwiw, it seems to work ok for me. when i click the buy link i get a message from firefox that the link is asking to open itunes. i allow it to, and the store opens up with the song i had selected.

in the background i do get the page described earlier (found - document has moved here...) but since the link works, for all practical purposes, i can accept the quirky behavior from ff. i've been using it for awhile and consider those odd things a fair price to pay to not have to use ie.

i'm on windows xp professional with firefox 1.0.3.

I don't have iTunes installed so I guess I could install it to correct this (I really don't want to). I can use IE when looking to make a purchase so you guys get the proper credit for it. I haven't used IE for a LONG time. Bummer.

Ummm... the iTunes Music Store is actually within the iTunes application. Meaning you have to have iTunes to even see the store. That's the nice thing is that with IE, you would have been automagically redirected to the page where you can download iTunes for Windows. Since the iTMS is janky with non-IE browsers, you just get that error. So, yes, gotta have iTunes regardless of what browser you use.
