Hi, I was wondering if there was anyway to get Windows Media Player to display the Title and Track info so I don't have to keep refreshing this webpage to find out what song is playing?

I noticed when I clicked on the AAC Plus Beta option, that it opened in my ITunes browser, and there it did give the track info...however the sound quality was much worse. I'm currently dial-up, so I have to use the LOW option, which is very tolerable for my needs at this point, just listening while I'm working, but its frustrating to have to keep refreshing while I'm in the middle of other things.

Also, if anyone has any tips for best sound quality while using dial-up, I'd appreciate it...thanks!

not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe try this out?

If you're running the latest version of Windows Media, go to the Play menu, then under Captions and Subtitles, click "On, if available".

Is that what you're looking for?

I posted this last time someone asked:

ok, I found the old thread that talked about it. here (http://woxy.com/boards/showthread.php?t=20325) is the thread.

I found that if I switch to the "corporate" skin and then there is a little button like a square word balloon near that top. click that and it should turn on captions.
Or you can go to the play menu, go down to captions&subtitles and click "on if available" which should work in most skins (or the normal mode)
(Be patient because apparently it only refreshes at the start of the song, so you have to wait for a new song to start before you know if it worked or not)
hope that works!

Yeah, that option did help in the full mode, but I haven't been able to get it to work in any of my skins...I usually use Plus! Professional, Quicksilver or a Kenwood one I downloaded...but at least switching to Full Mode, to check on the title is much easier than reloading the WOXY page...

Anyone have any tips for maximizing my streaming quality at dial up? Right now it claims to be coming through at 21kb/s, and I know I can handle a higher bit rate than that, just when I go to the High Streaming option at 64 its a little much, and there's some lag...is there a way to up it to say 48? or 56? Thanks...

Can you use the aac+ stream? It's 24kb. Othe than that, however, there isn't any way the user can adjust the stream.

If you can, go grab the latest version of Winamp and listen to the Low aacPlus stream. Your ears will thank you. Seriously. The Low (24k) aacPlus stream sounds as good as the 64k Windows Media stream.

Winamp with the AACPlus low streaming selection is much better...

I know I know...I'm helpless.

Soon. Or at least sometime in the future.
