This probably won't be in the paper until tomorrow, but Cincinnati Bell is moving 500 jobs to Norwood as a result of Convergys kicking them out of Atrium I. This is exactly what I told the Mayor and City Council would happen when they were voting on giving $50 million (or whatever it was) to Convergys to stay downtown.

That entire story is a complete fiasco, I’m sure the city thought they were going to get “new” jobs, but all they did was move the Norwood folks downtown….now all those employees effectively get a pay cut in that they now have to pay for parking. I’m not sure who the worst offenders are in that story – the company for blackmailing the city or the city for being so stupid.

Most Convergys Employees would have much rather stayed in Norwood. I know I would have.
I work for said offender and we've heard the stories from Convergys, the city, CBT and Norwood.
Personally,I think the city knew all along and what we don't know is what goes on behind closed doors that they don't write up in the papers or in their contracts.
But that's just me.

So, is it now going to be Norwood Bell? If they move to Mexico, will they be called "Taco Bell"? inquiring minds want to know.....

You deserve to sit in the penalty box for that one.

This maneuver was is the plans a looong time before Convergys and the city reached their deal. The city had to have known.
