A recent posting over at cocteautwins.com seems to contradict recent information that had been reported by NME and other press outlets about the band 'officially' getting back together and hitting the road. Their site clarifies that, at least as of now, the Cocteau Twins are only confirmed to reform and play one live performance at Coachella on April 30th. It says that there are no plans for a live tour or album following this performance. The Scottish group officially disbanded back in 1998 and they haven't played together live since 1996. The band members have only recently met up in person for the first time in eight years. The website does mention that it is possible for surprise "warm-up" shows to turn up in April as the band further prep themselves for the gig. Original members Liz Fraser, Robin Guthrie, and Simon Raymonde will be joined by two additional musicians on stage for the Coachella performance.
