Thursday, March 17th we will be taking over the Blind Pig Pub in Austin for a showcase of live music. We will also be broadcasting the event LIVE on WOXY.COM!
More details will emerge in the upcoming weeks, but we wanted you to be the first to know that WOXY.COM is hosting a dayparty in Austin, Texas along with Karma Download during this year's SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST festival.
The lineup will feature ---
THE FRAMES
THE NATIONAL
EARLIMART
FEIST
GIANT DRAG
NICOLAI DUNGER
THE CRIBS
Things will kick off at 1pm (that'd be Texas time partner!).

It would be kind of hard for us all to go down. I'll be headed down and hosting the event. Bryan Jay has to go as well because otherwise the only way I could broadcast the event would be with tin cans and strings. He holds the key to all things technical around here. :D

Have fun at SXSW shivvy! Will you be broadcasting the party, or a bit of a concert, or both?
I'm changing jobs that month, otherwise I'd be on that jet plane with ya. Enjoy!

Mike Taylor: OK, lets go to Shiv, LIVE on the scene. Shivvy, what can you tell us about what is going on?
Shiv: Well, Mike, it's a beautiful day here in Austin. I can see the WOXY helicopter hovering over head. Wait a minute, there appears to be something that just fell out of the helicopter. Oh, there's another...and another. This IS exciting! They're getting quite close to the ground. OH MY GOD, They're TURKEYS!!
Have a great broadcast, you guys.

As self-proclaimed representatives of WOXY for San Antonio, TX - My girl and I have already taken vacation days from work for the day of and the day after the show. I cant tell you how fired up we are that you guys are coming to Austin. I dont know if you guys have ever been to 6th street before, but it kicks ass (as does 5th and 4th)
For the WOXY fans going to Austin for the first time, I HIGHLY recommend Casino el Camino on 6th and Red Eye Fly on Red River Rd. for after the Blind Pig gig.

2 questions:
1. Any word on set times yet?
2. DO we need to RSVP?
Thanks...
